Having established in 2003 as a small scale industry, Aswin's Home Special Sweets and Snacks, restaurants now has subsidiaries across Perambalur, Trichy and Chennai. In an effort to employ differently abled and village folks, a huge establishment of Aswin's food industry is underway in Perambalur. For the first time in Perambalur, Aswin's is to institute a food testing laboratory with preservation experts able enough to certify food quality.

Aswin's restaurants has successfully been offering corporate catering and live kitchen facilities to companies like UltraTech Cements and Chettinadu Cements. The snacks are made using traditionally stone-ground dough and with the culinary expertise of women.
